We here at thenutgallery.com believe that most movie critics do not share our taste in movies. If you have ever gone to a movie or rented a DVD that was supposed to be "The ultimate in viewing pleasure" and come out severely disappointed maybe you're with us. We intend this website to be used as a service to everyone that has wasted a couple hours of their life and their hard earned money on a show that was alleged to be good. On the flip side of the coin of course is the movie that was rated thumbs down and you missed it because you listened to the bad reviews. Below you will find a list of the pros and cons of using this site. Because everyone's views and ideas are a little different you will have to decide for yourself which are pros and which are cons.
We are honest. (If we think its crap we will say its crap!)
We are not financially motivated. * (Because we haven't got any money for this yet!)
*disclaimer: We have been granted access into a select amount of press screenings. This has in no way influenced our opinions of those movies.
We don't strive to be politically correct. (a lot of movies aren't either)
We are sometimes a bit cynical. (ok..sometimes we are rude too...or downright evil)
We are understaffed. (probably due to salary issues. Please see above)
We work for a living. (also due to previously mentioned financial problems)
We are funny!!!! (right....we THINK we are funny)
We sometimes drink before/during reviews.* (This might be why we think we are funny)
We watch WAY too many movies!
Unfortunately we can only get the movies at the same time as all the other normal people out there. Because we have not, as of yet, been offered any special screening opportunities you may have to wait a bit for our reviews to come out. Hopefully though, this website will be a good resource for anyone who wants to see a DVD that has been released for a while.
