I have never been a big Will Ferrell fan and this movie helps to reinforce my opinion. I am watching this movie and waiting for it to get funny. Well I waited all the way through the credits and still did not get to anything funny. I guess I just don't get much of this type of humor. I guess I like humor with a punch line or at least a basis not just someone acting retarded. So I don't recommend buying this movie and rent it only if you like this type of humor.

I think this movie is good for what it is. I am not the biggest fan of Will Ferrell's type of embarrassing comedy. I really liked the clash scenes with the other network anchors. I found parts of this movie just hilarious but a lot of the time I was impatiently waiting for another hilarious part. All in all, this movie is a good renter especially if you have been drinking.

I loved this movie while it was in theatres, but when I watched it on DVD later it didn’t seem funny anymore. The only thing that was still funny was Steve Carell’s character Brick. It’s official now. Will Ferrel is not as funny as you think he is. If you have enjoyed other Will Ferrel’s movies, give this one a rent. You might like it. Otherwise just move on, there’s better stuff out there.
