Clerks 2

Synopsis: Writer-director Kevin Smith returns to the scene of his cult comedy classic Clerks to pick up his nothing-is-sacred style of humor...and push it right over the edge!

Ten years after the original slacker heroes Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson) have become "funployees" at Mooby's fast food. In addition to offending customers and debating anything and everything, their responsibilities now include ragging on their uber-nerd co-worker (Trevor Fehrman) and teasing their sexy manager (Rosario Dawson). But when Dante announces his plan to leave New Jersey, Randal plots a shocking and hysterical going-away party that will alter their lives forever. Featuring cameos by Ben Affleck, Jason Lee, Wanda Sykes, and the triumphant return of Jay and Silent Bob.

Nudity Factor: Early in the movie you Emma lifts her shirt and she is wearing a see through bra, Jays butt pressed against window. Jay doing the Silence of the Lambs pose, Dawson does a dance lesson and her boobs bounce very nice, donkey show - enough said.

Of Note: One of the things that most prompted Kevin Smith to make the film was a promise he made to friend Jason Mewes. If Mewes managed to stay off drugs he would be able to play the character of "Jay" one more time. Smith kept his promise.

Finally a Kevin Smith movie I liked. He must have finally sold out because it actually has a plot and a point, something that he has left out of his other movies. This movie had a plot, a point, and lots of humor. It has great dialog and a donkey show. Yes, for some the donkey show will be disturbing but you still won't be able to look away. This has great dialog as they discuss just about everything. The new cast members are all great especially Rosario Dawson. The return of Jay and Silent Bob add to the show instead of them being the best part. Kevin Smith does not disappoint, he still has the film full of vulgar and sick acts but for a change it actually works. Hopefully this is a sign of great things from Kevin Smith. You should buy this film but don't watch it with young kids around as you will be covering there eyes and ears through most of the movie.

I think this movie was absolutely hilarious! Now, you all know I’m a Kevin Smith fan but I’ll tell you what, I don’t think it matters too much in this case. Clerks 2 takes up a while after the first one left off and something happens to make the main characters work at Mooby’s, the cross between McDonalds, and Disney used by Kevin in a few of his movies. The dialogue was well written, continuing the Clerks legacy, and this time it is in color. The comedy is just sick most of the time and I imagine this movie will manage to offend a lot of people but who cares! This movie goes through the everyday lives of the “Clerks” as they offend almost everyone and Kevin Smith manages to do something much more serious with the plot whilst keeping with the original theme. I can’t explain too much about this movie without ruining it so I will just say buy it. If you don’t like sexually crude and rotten comedy you won’t like this movie but if you do I will leave you with this final phrase: “Oooh Cake!”
