Synopsis: Stomping, whomping, stealing, singing, tap-dancing, violating. Derby-topped teddy-boy hooligan Alex (Malcolm McDowell) has his own way of having a good time. He has it at the tragic expense of others.
Alex's journey from amoral punk to brainwashed proper citizen forms the dynamic arc of Stanley Kubrick's future-shock vision of Anthony Burgess' novel. Unforgettable images, startling musical counterpoints, the fascinating language used by Alex and his pals - Kubrick shapes them into a shattering whole. Hugely controversial when first released. The power of its art is such that it still entices, shocks and holds us in its grasp.

What can you really say about a film by the legend Stanley Kubrick. This falls right in with the other Kubrick films as being a little wierd and a little over the top. This has several scenes that are quite stunning. It also has several that are way out there. Malcolm McDowell is excellent in this film, he put himself through hell to complete this film and I have a ton of respect for him. This story covers a wide range of topics including rape, violence, governments and a lot more. If you are a fan of Stanley Kurbrick you will understand this film otherwise his style can be confusing. This is a must watch for anybody who wants to know more about Stanley Kubrick but will not be liked by all. Overall I enjoyed the film but most likely won't watch it again anytime soon.
