Rating:
A movie the follows the first ever Jamaican bobsled team. Stars the late great John Candy. Of course they have no idea what they are getting themselves into. First off I have to say this is a light hearted comedy. You follow four guys from Jamaica each from a different walk of life and each joining the bobsled team for a different reason. As the story unfolds you get to see how those backgrounds make them the team they become. To be honest the movie does have its faults. The acting at times is hit or miss just like the fake accents. The story does deviate a lot from the actual story but then again it had to if it wanted to be a light hearted comedy. The story they create around the true story is entertaining to watch. Along with the story goes the soundtrack that fits in real nice to the story. Overall I enjoy this movie for what it is, a light hearted comedy. If you want exciting sports action then this is not for you.
