Rating:
If I was breaking this movie down by action it would get a perfect score. It had racing, guns, cars, and a few heists. If I was judging it on the acting it would also have gotten a perfect score. Diesel and Walker really work well together and I like it more that they are truly on the same side now. The story would also get a perfect score. Dom played by Vin Diesel is on his way to prison when at the last minute he gets broken out. This puts him and everyone else involved on the run. The run so far south they end up in Brazil. From there the story just keeps adding into the excitement as they become hunted by a special team from American lead by Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Of course he is over the top but it works well for his character. They are also being hunted by some locals, more importantly the drug lord that pretty much enjoys life doing what he wants to who he wants. This leads to some great action as well as a few twists along the way. The visuals would get a perfect score as well. The shots of Brazil are stunning and make me want to go there. So what is it that keeps this movie from a perfect score. Basically one scene with a safe and two cars. There is so much about this scene that does not work for me. Don't get me wrong it is a pretty exciting piece of story making but it just is such a twist on reality that I can not overlook it. They took a great concept and pushed it to far. More is not always better. Overall I enjoyed this movie and was entertained throughout. Outside of one scene that really left me shaking my head I haven no complaints about this movie.
