My biggest problem with this film is just the inconsistent story. I could sit and name off about 10 flaws in the story without even really thinking about it. This made the film hard to really enjoy. You do have to stretch reality a bit for any aspect of this film to work. That in of itself is not the problem as we have to do that with a lot of films. What we know from the beginning of the film is that a mad doctor has escaped the clutches of a detective and continues to torment him by sending him letters taunting him about his failures. Along comes a young man who appears to have gone insane and has blood coming from his nose and eyes. Several bodies start showing up with similar symptoms which gets the health officials involved. All the victims have one thing in common, they had visited the website feardotcom. If it is sounding good so far then you will be drastically disappointed to find out that at this point reality gets turned off and chaos takes it place. Another common link appears as all the victims died within 48 hours of viewing the website. I am sure you can guess were this is heading. Though predictable to an extent the movie still tries to change things up a bit by muddling a bunch of ideas. Maybe the writer had a much clearer picture in mind that got lost in translation but in any case the story comes across as flawed. With that I just am not able to rate this movie very high and would recommend looking past this.
