As with a lot of films I have mixed feelings. I really want to like this movie because I like the story of the Musketeers. It has its good moments and its bad moments. The stuff I really like is who well they made this look as though it was really filmed at the time of the musketeers. All the props, clothing, etc. seemed to come from a time way before the movie was made. I appreciate the effort that was made to pull that feel off. The story was ok other than the fact that it seemed to jump around and at times was even hard to follow. It also portrayed the Musketeers at times as being bumbling idiots, something that bothered me some even if they were just attempting to add a little humor. Overall I appreciate this film for how well it does with the atmosphere. Even with that I just had a hard time with the story. Not saying that it was entirely bad just that at times it lacks something.
