This movie is a timeless classic. The issues in the movie are still present to this day at least if you break them down to the core issues. I will admit that for the most part I am not that big of a fan of musicals presented in the movie format. I understand the appeal it just is not my thing. As far as acting, I can't really come up with much negative. The propelled both John Travolta and Olivia Newton John to stardom. A few of the supporting cast is less that great but what movie had a cast that is perfect. You can tell the difference between how a film was made in the late 70's versus how they are made now. One issue I have with the cast is that they are almost all 25+ and playing teenagers. For me this was a tough sell. The music is as timeless as the movie. I have a feeling that most people that have watched this movie will hear songs played from this movie and instantly think of this movie. Most musicals I get bored while they sing and dance. In this movie that music goes well with the movie, and for the most part I don't get bored. The story itself is about two people that meet outside of school, become friends, only to be pulled apart by the circles they run with. A pretty decent story and something that happens to friends all the time. Overall I enjoy this movie everytime I watch it. I has held up well to its age. If you have not seen this movie you prolly should, if you have not watched it for a while then what are you waiting for, knock the dust off it and give it a watch.
