I don't hand out many five stars for a movie so that in of it self should say a lot. I want to start out by saying that the opening scene in this film were River Phoenix portrays a young Indiana Jones is maybe one of the best opening scenes I have seen a movie open with. It tells so much about the character and how he got to were he is now. From there the story is not only a search for the Holy Grail but also the missing father of the adult Indiana Jones. Of course his father is played by Sean Connery. The combination of Harrison Ford and Sean Connery was such a great casting. They both can act, they both can sell a character, and they both made this movie great. There are some plot holes in the movie but from my standpoint none of them take away from the movie, if anything they add to the mystique of the character. It also seems that every scene, Indiana is at his best, from motorcycles to blimps to secret tunnels, oh and don't forget the booby traps. I could go on all day about how great this movie is. Overall this is just a great movie, lots of action, and really has Indiana Jones at this best. It also is a movie that you can watch over and over again. It just does not get old.
