Rating:
A movie that takes place after World War II. The story follows a former SS officer that ran a prison camp. While running this camp of course there were very few rules or at least that were followed by the officers. This particular officer had a thing for one of the camp members and they formed a rather twisted relationship. One that she just can't seem to get enough of. Though this aspect is one of the more talked about aspects of the movie, it seemed to me that it became more an issue because of the amount of talk about this twisted relationship. In the movie there are a few scenes that show this twisted relationship but not near as much as I was thinking there would be. As the movie progresses you keep flashing back to the time at the camp. Though I kind of come to expect that when you have flash back it somehow relates to what is going on in the current time line of the story. I also want to mention that this is movie does have a very dark feel to it and with that does not leave you very satisfied once it is over. It also has several spots that just seem to drag on and even at times is so slow paced that it gets boring. Overall I found the story interesting up until about half way through that when it became slow and dull. If you are into a twisted Nazi story that involves a twisted relationship between a torturer and his victim then this will be the movie for you.
