First things first, most people don't realize this is a remake of a film of the same name that was done by the rat pack. I guess in a way it has our verison of the modern day rat pack in the fact that this has an all star cast. It has George Clooney, Bernie Mac, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, and Don Cheadle. So what do you when you put all of these big names into one movie. You make a caper movie to beat all caper movies. Danny Ocean (George Clooney) is planning to not only rob one casino but 3 of them. Standing in his way is Terry Benedict and one of the most complicated security system in Vegas. Oh and if that is not bad enough, no one has even got close enough to pulling something like this off without meeting a short demise. This is were the writing of the script really shines. How they put all of this together and how they bring everyone into the fold. This is what is really cool about this movie. It keeps your interest because you really don't know the whole plan and how it is going to work until it is being done. Then of course they misdirect you a few times just to keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed this movie and suprisingly have even watched it a couple of times something you wouldnt think would be the case with a caper movie.
