I will be upfront and honest, this type of humor is not my thing. I find the movie entertaining but just not all that funny. Lets take the opening scene for example. Here is a guy stuck in traffic and keeps trying to switch lanes to move a little faster. Just as he switches lanes that lane comes to a dead halt and the lane he was in starts to move. I think any of us that have driven in a big city has experienced this type of frustration. Heck I experience every time I enter the check out lane at the grocery store. I can enter the shortest line and before lone I see people in the line next to me moving way faster. About the time I switch lines the one I was in starts to move faster. I just stick with one lane now and hope for the best. As entertaining as the opening scene was I just don't find it to be gut buster funny that some people do. Maybe it is because when people do this I find them annoying and usually try to cut them off or run them off the road. The movie tends to have a very similar style of humor throughout. Like I said I find it entertaining but just not all that funny. Having said that I do find this movie to be a classic but more so for its subject matter. I like how they poke fun at big corporations and some of the policies that they adopt. For anyone that has worked in that environment would agree that in many cases they hit pretty close to home. I do think it is a movie that deserves a watch even if the comedy is not your style.
