Smokin Aces

Synopsis: Slick Las Vegas illusionist Buddy "Aces" Israel isn't playing nice. Turns out, he's telling mob secrets to the FBI. After a $1 million contract is put out on him, Aces tries to pull his greatest disappearing act before a rogues' gallery of ex-cons, hit men and smokin' hot assassins tries to rub him out in this edgy action comedy that takes no prisoners.

This is a very good film. It is filmed the way a film should be filmed. Example of this would be when a gun is fired and you see the guy get hit with a bullet, it is done in one take. The gun going off and the blood splattering off the guy are all done in one take. No cut shots just one frame, one shot. This makes from some really good action based shoot outs. Talking about shoot outs this movie has a pretty nice shoot that has some really nice guns blazing. The story for this movie is about a guy that is about to rat out the mob in exchange for protection from a 1 million dollar hit that was put out on him. This ends up with a nice contrast between the feds and all the hitmen crawling out of the woodwork. The hitman the show up bring some of the greatest moments to the movie. Ryan Reynolds in a serious roll. He pulls it off better than I would have ever thought it possible. I hope he stays this route because he makes a pretty good action guy. Overall this movie delivers on all levels and is a very good watch.
