Of Note: It was actually Arnold Schwarzenegger who punched through the windshield of the car. James Cameron didn't want to use fake glass - he wanted real safety glass to be punched through. To attain this effect, a steel cast of Schwarzenegger's fist and forearm was produced and Schwarzenegger wore the steel cast to punch through the windshield (Without it, he would have easily broken his hand).

This is one of those films that when it came out had state of the art special effects and at the time they were great. The special effects may be a little dated at this point. This is one of those films that maybe does not hold up well as time goes by but still is regarded as a great piece of science fiction. Overall I don't think it is the greatest but must be viewed by sci-fi fans as well as anybody that wants a good feel for 80's style sci-fi. If you find this in a discount bin pick it up just because it has Arnold and you can get a good dose of 80's sci-fi.
