Walking Tall Part 2

Synopsis: The Walking Tall legacy continues with Bo Svenson as Sheriff Buford Pusser, a one-man army trying to rid his town of corruption. Out to avenge his wife's death at the hand of the mob, Sheriff Pusser blows up their moonshine operation. With Buford breathing down their necks, the syndicate hires two hitmen; one a maniacal race car driver, the other a deadly gunslinger. Any other man would've hightailed it out of there, but then Pusser is no ordinary man.

Of Note: Buford Pusser agreed to portray himself in this film but, hours after signing the contract, he was killed when his car ran off the road near his home in Adamsville, Tennessee. Some locals believe his car was sabotaged in retribution for his stamping out the illegal activities of the stateline mob on the Tennessee-Mississippi border.

Right off the bat I have to say that this movie is no where near as good as the first one. Pusser is now played by a different actor who does a good job just you can tell it is not the same person. Just does not have the same presence on screen. This movie is a little slower paced then the first one and really has a lot of the same things. Pusser busting up stills, busting up bad guys, and being hunted for it. Some of the let down is that for the most part the story has a lot of the same elements right down to the revenge factor. Overall I just didn't feel like this movie did anything better than the first one.
